There is no idle screw. The idle control solonoid is on the throtle body and sometimes it can get dirty needing cleaning. ---- Well, this is assuming you have TBI or fuel injection, or if it is a carbuerated engine, if it is FI, the idle is set at the factory, no adjustment to the idle is recommended, as the computer controls the idle in FI engine's, if you must, their is a idle adjustment screw under a tin cap seated in your throttle body, an awl or a similar tool can remove this cap, is it located directly in front of the throttle stop, lower right of your TBI unit. jr Since in 1992 there WASN"T a carbureated engine in that car, if you are having idle problems the culprit would be the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC Valve). There is no cleaning it, only replacing it will fix your issue, assuming you don't have an intake gasket leak. Scott

You will need to remove the tire and wheel from your 1992 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. Remove the brake shoe spring and caliper. The brake shoes will come off. Reverse the process to install the new brake shoes.
Ummmm......... I think you want to use spark plug wires.
AnswerLook for a black cap on the right side on top of the throttle body. Pop off that cap and there will be a screw under that cap to adjust the idle.
with the v/advance unplugged bring your idle up to 3000rpm and set you timing at 32 while revving. now tighten down the distributor and plug you v/a back in, and voi-la your done. that year doesn't have a vacuum advance... he said 92 caprice not 82........you need to find the EST remove it and set the timing to 0 then plug the est back in and the computer takes over
take it all apart and unclog it make shure you remember where it all goes or you are SCREWED
in 92 caprice did not come with lt1 only corvette had lt1 in 92
