It depends on the engine. If it is a 3.3 v6, you will locate it under the 3 ignition coils. Unbolt each coil, 2 screws per coil, and the unit will be free, other than the primary wiring harness. The primary wiring harness is connected by a bolt, through the connector and into the module.
ignition what? coil, swicth, module, lock cylinder? gm Jim
Under the dash attached to the steering column.
Not sure what the symptoms are, but I am guessing you are referring to the anti-theft module. It is located in the ignition cylinder lock. It is common for this to go bad in the Grand Am and other GM products. Not sure what the symptoms are, but I am guessing you are referring to the anti-theft module. how much to insall a ignition to a pontiac grand am se 1999?
Sounds like a 2.3 quad 4 motor. There is a "panel" on the top of the motor, called a housing cover. It has the ignition module and ignition coils under it. Below them are boots (replace them) and the plugs.
Depends on the motor, 4cyl or V6, but it could be the ignition module, or the crank sensor
