Right in front of the battery, between the battery and radiator.
1994 was the last year the Ranger used an ignition control module on the 2.3 and 2.5. The ignition control module was attached to the lower intake manifold.
The engine computer (behind the battery) is the ignition module.
Passenger side of the firewall, the engine computer is the ignition module.Passenger side of the firewall, the engine computer is the ignition module.
I have no idea. I've looking for it for a long time. Please help!
its mounted under the hood on the driver side fender
AnswerI have a 1994 Ranger with the 2.3 motor. There are actually two ignition modules because there are 2 plugs per cylinder for a total of eight. If you open the hood and face the engine it should be on the left hand side of the engine and you should be able to see where all the plug wires plug into it, you can't miss it! =] Good Luck! This answer is actually for the Coil Packs. The ignition module (there is only one) is located somewhere else in the engine compartment. I still can't find it myself...so far.it is on your intake
Engine computer, pass side fire wall.
The only way I can explain it is to follow the wiring from your coil pack (where the spark plugs are) and the wires plug into the ignition module. Also go go www.wrenchead.ca and it has a manual that explains all. if you don't know the answer to a question please keep your moth shut ,please don't waste my time
It depends on what engine yu have but on a lot of them it is under the coils. If your car has a dist it is inside.
A 1994 Ford Ranger has no distributor cap__it uses Distributorless Ignition__the ignition coils are located on the right side of the engine in plain sight (your left when facing the engine )
It could be the ICM or the pickup module.
Owners manual, positive.
