1995 and earlier models use a separate ESC module mounted near the throttle body of TBI
Check all of your fuses both in the fuse box in the van and under the hood.
Check the ECM Electronic Control Module, under the distributor cap If its bad sometimes it wont start or it will and then die
under the distributer cap
The PCM and ABS computers are under the hood mounted low and to the right. There is no separate BCM on an Astro.
The Electronic Control Module, it gets power from the battery and sends power to everything, etc. the fuel pump relay, to kick the fuel pump on for two seconds prior to turning the engine on.
There are two questions. First, MAX AC makes the air colder, usually by recycling the cooled air already in the vehicle. Normal AC pulls fresh air from outside the vehicle into the interior. Second, if your vehicle has an electronic control for the environmentals, you may have a bad control module (inside the section where the knobs are mounted) or the vacuum line may be damaged. Check to see if you can control where the air blows from when using other temperature controls. If you have full control except when you use the MAX AC setting it is more likely the electronic control module is bad.
I don't know excatly, But Iam pretty sure that Chevy put's the "Icm" in the distributor or on the coil pack. Your vehical however might not have a ignition module the "Power train control module"(pcm) in some vehical's control's spark timing.
location of 3 sensor of 97 Chevy astro van?
Check the ECM electronic control module under the distributor cap. if its bad it wont start or will start and run bad and die
In my 2004 it is located on top of the radio. A real pain to get to. You have to remove the radio and alot of the AC stuff. Good luck.
