The Mass Air Flow sensor is located between the engine air filter
housing and the large diameter engine air intake tube
Bank 2 is the drivers side of the engine in your Ford Explorer Sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter ( downstream )
Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine ( V6 and V8 ) in a 2001 Ford Explorer Sensor 1 would be close to the engine before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter

The Mass Air Flow sensor is located on top of the air filter housing on Ford Explorer.
The fuel tank evaporative sensor is located on top of the fuel tank. The tank will have to be removed before the sensor can be installed.
The 1998 Ford Explorer 5.0 liter engine IAT sensor is located between the engine and the air filter box. The IAT sensor will be on the air intake hose.
The 2001 Ford Focus transmission range sensor is located on the side of the transmission. The sensor will be on the left-hand side of the transmission.

On a 2001 Ford Winstar : I assume it would be between the engine air filter and the big rubber engine air intake tube . On my Ford Explorer it is inside a circular housing so from the outside I only see where the wires connect to the MAF sensor
