on the cylinder head on the drivers side of the vehicle standing in front of the vehicle just above the engine block there is a round switch that's your oil pressure switch
I located the oil pressure switch but it hard to get to with out having to remove other parts. Any easier way?
The 1997 Toyota Avalon air conditioning low pressure switch can be found on the top of the air conditioning compressor. The low pressure switch will be labeled as the low pressure port.
It is located on the left side of the engine on the larger line.
It will either be a mechanical switch located on the brake pedal lever under the dash, or a pressure switch located on or near the master cylinder.
i believe that the st has a 4afe (1.4l) engine. if that is the case the pressure sender is below the alternator and to the left of the oil filter. if it has a 3sfe (2.0l) the sender is on the drivers side of the cylinder head on the front.
You can bypass the AC low pressure switch, on your Toyota Corolla, by removing the switch. You can remove the wiring to the switch and leave the switch and place.
Should be located on the brake pedal arm near the point at which the arm connects to the dash. If it has a pressure switch, it will be located near the Master Cylinder.
behind and slightly above the oil filter
As per my Factory Service Manual for the 2003 TJ, here goes. The 4 cylinder oil pressure switch is located below the A/C compressor. It is a single wire connection with a gray/yellow striped wire. The 6 cylinder oil pressure switch is located on the passenger side rear of the block. It is a single wire connection with a gray/yellow striped wire.
If it has a mechanical brake light switch it is located somewhere on the brake pedal. Normally around the area where the pedal connects under the dash. If it has a pressure switch, it will be located somewhere on brake lines near the master cylinder.
The oil pressure switch is located next to the engine.
Power steering power steering pressure switch is a part of power steering pump. There is wire harness connect to the pump, it's connect the switch. Find the harness you will find the switch.
