The oil pressure sending unit on the 4.0 L OHV engine is on the driver's side

of the engine located below the Power Steering pump and

looking at the picture in my Haynes repair manual it looks like the oil pressure

sending unit on the 4.0 L SOHC engine is mounted low on the front of the engine

slightly below and to the right of the lower rad hose to water pump connection

when you are looking from the front of the Explorer.
