look just to the left of the power brake booster (drivers side), on the very back of the intake, you should see it, it will be sticking up, coming from the manifold, should have a connector with 2 wires on it. You will need a special socket (any auto parts store). If you try to use a normal socket or wrench, you will most likely damage/destroy the sending unit. these commonly go bad, and can cause numerous problems, such as a unexplained oil leak, guage not working, idiot light blinking/coming on, or even keeping the engine from running. if there is no oil pressure after starting the engine, it will not allow the fuel pump to operate.

I`m not sure if the swith is the same on a 2000 S10 but the 93`s have it mounted to the oil filter housing.I you.
Check the ignition switch. Mine has a worn ignition switch so there were no power going to the pump. Good luck!
