Where is the power steering reservoir located in a 1988 Plymouth?
The cap is located on the power steering reservoir. If you have a 3800 V6 then the pump is located on the rear passenger side of the engine. It is difficult to see the reservoir. Remember the power steering pump is driven by the crankshaft pulley so the serpantine belt drives it. Find the pump and you can find the reservoir.
The standard 2006 Malibu has Electric Power Steering Assist. There is no reservoir. Power Steering function is accomplished by an electric motor attched to the lower steering column. The Malbu Maxx SS 3.9 liter does use hydralic steering. It's reservoir is located in the engine compartment and clearly marked.
The dip stick for the power steering fluid is attached to the power steering reservoir cap. the power steering reservoir is located behind the engine on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
