∙ 17y agohi there should be same as mine which is located behind the dash you can either access it from below the dash which is awkard or remove the instrument cluster panel and unbolt the heater controls and instrument cluster as the switch is located behind them hope this is of use to you nate

∙ 17y agoIt is quite easy to install the 1992 Chevy Lumina brake light switch. The brake light switch simply plugs in and out.
Check the bulbs, Check the fuse, Check the brake light switch, in that order.
If you are getting a code 38 on a 1992 Chevy van, it means that the brake switch is stuck in stop mode. This will also cause your cruise control to not disengage when you press your brake pedal.
Bad stop light switch? Located at the upper end of the brake pedal under dash area
the brake light switch is located on the brake padal bracket just to the right of the steering column mount. you'll need to remove the left underdash sound panel beneath the steering column to get to the switch and connector.
The relay is on the left side of the power brake booster/.
the brake light switch is on a bracket just above the brake pedal.
The relay you are looking for should be left of the brake fluid reservoir on the firewall, drivers side.
if its burnt out, replace it, if not, check the wireing
