MECHANIC TOLD ME IT IS LOCATED UNDER THE TOP HOSE TO THE LEFT OF THE TOP OF ENGINE......NARROW HOSE COMING FROM RADIATOR.....STANDING IN FRONT OF OPEN ENGINE COMPARTMENT.....IT WILL BE @ ABOUT THE 2PM POSITION.....HOSE ONLY ABOUT 1- 1 1/2 INCHES WIDE. On the right side of the motor, mounted to the drivers side of the motor between the motor and a hose. Its smaller than you would expect.

The fuse panel on a 1990 Ford Tempo is located under the dash to the left of the steering column.

Between the engine and the transmission.

follow top radiator hose to the end .thats the thermostat housing.on drivers side of the engine

In between the air filter and the raditior

follow the upper radiator hose other end is connected to thermostat housing

A diagram for a ford tempo made in 1990 can be found online. It is a coupe model car.

It is under the hood, on the passangers side, right above the wheel well.

The starter is on the underside, towards the front, almost directly below the oil filter.

It would be a good idea to pick up a Ford Tempo owners guide or repair manual to find the location. Not only that, but if there are future problems you'll be able to fix them considering the repair is not major. I know Ford Tempo thermostats go for about $15 bucks. http://www.93Tempo.Citymax.com

the fule pump is in the gas tank in the 1993 ford tempo

follow the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing

From my research, as an owner of a 1990 Ford Tempo GL, there is no timing belt.

On the right side of the motor, mounted to the drivers side of the motor between the motor and a hose. Its smaller than you would expect.

Look in the removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose

Many reasons. Low coolant, bad fan sensor, bad fan, thermostat not opening, blockage in the line, poor condition of rad.

same motor, same driveline, same size, just electronics differ a little ( such as a/c or power locks etc..).

The thermostat is located at the end of the 2" radiator hose that leads into the engine block. The housing doesn't look like the traditional round ball. Also, there is a "sensor" that plugs into the housing. Hope this helps.

it should have a timing chain
