To find the crank timing mark, you must remove the pull rope housing. It is held by 4 bolts. Once it is removed you will see a plastic plug that can be removed with a flat head screwdriver. As for the camshaft mark. it can be found after removing the cam sproket cover. You will see the mark at the top center of the hole. The cam sproket has a line on it that must be aligned with mark at top of cam sproket hole. The line can be difficult to see until you remove cam sproket bolt.

hey need to take unscrew slotted plastic cap of on top of engine housing by pull start, turn over engine and site the flywheel mark that's marked "t" top dead center, then need to take off timing cover off the side of head two bolts, and ensure that the timing mark on cam gear is on the mark at the top is lined up with the mark on the housing if mboth flywheel mark and cam gear line up in the same position then timing is correct. hope this helps.

The timing mark is one the Harmonic balancer and the pointer is attached to the timing cover. Roll the motor over to the timing mark, the be sure and mark the number one plug {marked on the intake manifold} the position of the rotor pointer on the distributer.

The H isn't the letter H, but a range where the spark should be firing. T is the letter T, and stands for timing. The I should be right nevt to the T, and this is your timing mark. Confirm this by putting something in the spark plug hole as you SLOWLY turn the motor by hand. You can feel the piston come to TDC. TDC should coincide with the timing mark on the rotor. Once that is set, you can make sure your cam is where it should be and you're all set!
