There is no dip stick on manual transmissions for this car. To check a manual trany for this car you need to remove the fill plug and stick your finger inside. I use 10w30 engine oil in my 88 integra. Do NOT use engine oil in any automatic trany. Use only atomatic trany fluid for all automatic tranys. If you have an automatic trany the dip stick should be located somewhere on top of the trany. Peace check the cap where you pour the oil in some times the dip stick is attached to the cap. Integra B18A/B dipsticks are located between two of the runners on the header (exhaust manifold) closest to the radiator. There will be a tube extending from the oil pan where the dipstick will go. It has an orange/yellow handle. The manifold heat shield may make it hard to see, but it is there. If you do not have the dipstick, visit an Acura parts store (local dealer or junkyard) and get one. check on the passenger(right) side. look behind the motor mount close to the fender wall. it's short and not easy to get to(or see). it's not where the owner's booklet describes it to be
in the trunk
..If it is stickshift it doesnot have a dipstick...AUTOMATIC HAS ONE RIGHT BELOW THE DIST....
Usually thru the dipstick hole!
if its a manual transmission you dont have one it has a plug you unscrew and look into if its an automatic its on the passenger side(the side with the transmission) it will have a yellow handle on it.
right under your distributor down a little lower.
If it is an automatic transmission, you add transmission fluid with a long funnel through the dipstick opening.
It's under the Air Intake Tubing, on top of the Transmission. (Look between the Battery and Throttle Body) I haven't had the stock Intake on my Integra for the past Five years, but with an Aftermarket Intake, I still find it to be easiest to pull the intake off to get to the Dipstick.
