If it has one, its either in the glove box or to the left of the drivers side seat. I didnt know they made them in the 1998 models, is it a SSE?
what fuse for the trunk release in a 97 pontiac bonneville
On my '95 Bonneville the trunk release button is on the driver's door below the door handle. Hope this helps.
On the other side of the tail lights, inside the trunk fastened with plastic nobs, pull back trunk trim panel.
There isn't one. They were not federally mandated until 1995
Mine doesn't have automatic trunk release. I use the key to unlock my doors to open the trunk.
With a key.
It is in the glove box on the driver's side at least that is where it is on my 04 se
The trunk release is located in the center console between the two front seats. it is a square button.
Try the trunk release on/off button located in the glove box. If this button is in the off position then the trunk release button will not work.
Usually they are in the glove box, but they could be located on the floor, in front of the seat, on the drivers side, or on the drivers door itself. The 1998 Buick Regal unfortunately does not have a manual trunk release. There are kits available to add a manual trunk release, however.
Have a helper pull the release handle while you look at the release mechanism. This will tell you if the cable is broken or if the problem is in the trunk mechanism.
on mine it was just with the keys or the little button for trunk release on the keys. Mine never had a lever inside the car.
