in the hazard switch
On the 1985 Mercedes Benz 380SL 3.8 liter, 8-cylinder car, the turn signal flasher can be found under the center of the dashboard in front of the shifter. It is mounted under the console.
The flasher is located behind the glove box or maybe accessable from inside the glovebox. I have a 95 intrepid and that's where its located!
The turn signal flasher on the 1987 Volkswagen Cabriolet 1.8 liter FI SOHC 4-cylinder is mounted in the fuse panel. Look under the dashboard on the driver's side.
2.6 Liter Mitsubishi Engine
Manual for 2003 Montero Sport with a 3.5 liter says 10.2 quarts.
The location of the flasher relay on a 2001 Nissan Xterra is underneath the driverside dashboard. It should be mounted on the right side near the top of the brake pedal. I just changed mine when the turn signals would stop working or sometimes not even come on.
The flasher unit can be found attached to a bracket on the right side steering column reinforcement .
The speedometer gets its signal from the abs sensor on top of the rear axle.
If you remove your MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor, you will see there is a resistor just behind the MAF sensor on top...thats your Air Temperature Sensor.
The flasher? It's located under the dash, and is usually silver aluminum and looks a bit larger than a two liter bottle cap. It will have two wires (in one plug) attached to it.
Where is located
Your turn signal flasher is probably bad. Even though the turn signals and the hazard lights use the same bulbs, they operate on different circuits. Don't worry ,this is no big deal. Because the turn signal flashers are placed in different areas on different cars, I suggest you buy the flasher from any GM dealers parts department. Have the parts department print you out a picture of the flasher which will show you the part and its location under your dash. It simply plugs into a receptacle. I hope this helps you. Mark Everybody always says its the flasher, but for me that IS NOT the case. I have replaced the flasher and still have a problem where they flash sometimes and then not at other times. And sometimes they just turn off instead of flash. I haven't figured out what it is for sure, but I have been working on the problem. The flasher is a good place to start, but there is something else going on with mine... - Sheldon
