The turn signal relay is located just behind the battery holder, you can simply pull it off by tugging on it to the rear of the bike.
It is located front seating area, driver side, under dash, above fuse block, mounted on kick panel.
Under the left side of the dash - locate the fuse panel. The turn signal flasher is the square black box (relay) located on the fuse panel. On mine it is located at the top-riight of the fuse board. Just pull it straight out - make sure you are replacing it with an IDENTICAL type.

Yes you can replace a bike flasher with a car flasher . I priced the flasher from Honda dealer they want $80.00 plus tax for it I bought a standard car flasher for $4.79 plus tax and it worked. (flasher must be three prong - Prt.#550 12 volt 20-1036-2 from Can. Tire.) I answered my own question by trying it and it worked.
The flasher is located on the left side of the Driver kicker panel. It is behind the vent and speaker grill of the dash. Very difficult to locate and get to. It has a clip that needs to be pried upwards to relase the relay.
