There will be 3 core plugs on a 4.3L V6 Vortec engine: 1 each side of the block and one at the back, in the bellhousing area.
A Chevrolet Blazer with a 4.3 liter vortec engine will take approximately 6 quarts of oil. The recommended type of oil is 5 W 30.
The ground strap on a 1997 Chevy Blazer 4.3 Vortec is located along the bottom of the engine near the frame. It ensures that electricity flows properly through the entire vehicle.
From what I been reading there is no egr on this engine.
Because You Do How The Hell Will I Know That : )
On the Vortec the computer does it all.
It is inside of the engine oil pan. You will have to remove the oil pan to get to it.
