open the upper timing belt cover the first thing lower to crankshaft is water pump.
where is the ECU on Daewoo Matiz 1999
it's underneath the handbrake/ gearstick console between front seats.
i had the very same problem on my 1999 matiz,it was a broken wire on the fuel injector.(i'd changed the distributor cap,fuel filter,plugs etc before finding out it was this)hope this helps.
Camshaft will be broken and inlet/outlet valves will be damaged. engin must be rebuilt or replaced.

I see no listing for the Daewoo Matiz. Other Daewoos are all Interferance engines, and as such if the belt breaks severe engine damage will occur. Im not sure what country you are in so i won't say passenger side, but if you stand in front of the vehicle looking at the engine bay, the fusebox is on the right hand side, inside there is a line of 3 grey relays going down the side, the fuel pump relay is the centre one.
You can look on ebay.com and type in the search box "1999 Daewoo" Also check your local junkyard for wrecked or junked Daewoo cars...the last option you can do is buy a new one from a retail reseller of Daewoo parts
