Only he knew for certain. What is known is that his landlady saw him at the northbound bus stop outside the rooming house, but Officer J.D. Tippit encountered Oswald almost a mile southwest of the rooming house near North Patton Ave. and 10th Street. After Tippit was shot and killed, Oswald was reported to have entered a shoe store, then entering the Texas Theater where he was captured.

After assassinating President John F. Kennedy, Lee Harvey Oswald left his rooming house in Dallas, Texas, with the intention of going to his friend's house. Oswald wanted to retrieve a gun and money before taking a bus to Mexico. However, he was intercepted by police while walking on the street and ultimately arrested.

There was no evidence to that prior knowledge.

How did Jack Ruby know Lee Harvey Oswald?

Jack Ruby was angry at Lee Harvey Oswald and killed him on November 24, 1963. There were some who claimed that he was paid to kill Oswald to prevent him going to trial, but this was never substantiated. Ruby died in prison in 1967 while awaiting a new trial.

Colt Cobra; 38 special; cost 62.50. It has been auctioned off several times and the price keeps going up. The first time it was auctioned off it went for $220,000.

Why didnt Lee Harvey Oswald think it would be too difficult to get to JFK How would he have known before hand the police or secret service were not going to be in or waching his building for snipers?

Oswald worked in the building where he shot JFK, so he knew that he would be alone in that room at the time. Plus, Presidential security wasn't as good as it is now, so Lee was pretty much in the clear.

Did Mr Harvey get caught for killing Susie salmon?

No...he fled after her dumped her body in a giant hole that was going to be filled in. He did end up dying though by slipping and falling down the side of a large hill and broke his next.

How long after the John F. Kennedy assassination did Lee Harvey Oswald become a suspect?

Only a few minutes, as he was the only employee who failed to show up for a roll call. His description was radioed out, which is probably why Officer Tippett pulled over to talk to him, and Oswald shot him. Then he dodged police cars by going in a theater without paying, and tried to shoot the arresting officers when they arrived. And yet there are those who like to pretend he was innocent and JFK died as some sort of Illuminati Reptilian Skull and Bones Trilateral Rothchilds Bilderberger Zionist Nazi Mafia CIA NWO conspiracy.

Who was JKF?

It appears that the question refers to the assassinated US President, John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK ) Kennedy was the 35th US President. He won the 1960 presidential election by successfully winning the contest with the Vice President Rchard M. Nixon under President Eisenhower for 8 years. In Dallas on November 22, 1963, JFK was assassinated. A Federal Commision investigated the killing and came to the conclusion that one individual acting alone, namely Lee Harvey Oswald was the killer. Reportedly he hated JFK. To his luck, he found out that the man he hated was going to ride right past the place where he worked. ( luck my butt ) The odds of that happening are quite small. No sharpshooter was able to duplicate firing 3 shots with a ww2 rifle at a moving target and hitting the target. Another piece of "luck" was that a low life Mafia associated Dallas man felt so terrible over JFK's death and hated Oswald so much, he killed Oswald right in the Dallas Police force garage as Oswald was being transported to jail. The man later died in prison from cancer. Case closed as Oswald never went to trial.

What was the impact of Oliver stone's film JFK?

Oliver Stone's excellent film concerning the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy, rekindled the public's interest in the Kennedy assassination. It also gave people who were too young in 1963, to fully understand the complexity of determining whether the assassination was a conspiracy. Here are two unexplainable facts that the Warren Commission failed to grasp. One is that after numerous tries, expert FBI snipers were unable to repeat what the Warren Commission said Lee Harvey Oswald was able to do. Shoot "kill shots" on a replay of hitting dummies in a moving car passing the school text book building Lee Harvey Oswald supposedly accomplished. This was attempted many many times and without results that Harvey supposedly accomplished. Secondly, there is the question of "odds" or statistical probability. Imagine that a man is bent on killing President Kennedy. Ok, so far so good. Then imagine that Kennedy is visiting the city that Oswald ( the killer ) works in. Then imagine that Kennedy is going to be driven right past the building where the killer works on a workday. Then imagine the killer has an old Italian carbine that is a single shot rifle. Meaning a reload for each shot.In every major modern day assassination attempt or success, the killer traveled to where the victim was supposed to be. Not a chance that the victim was going to "visit" the workplace of the killer.

What was Lee Harvey Oswald's life like?

Lee Harvey Oswald. Going by the information below, he had a somewhat rough life. But still doesn't make killing the President right.Lee Harvey Oswald was born on Oct. 18, 1939. His father died two months before Oswald was born. He had an older half-brother and an older brother. He and his brothers lived in an orphanage for a year while their mother worked. In 1944, his mother pulled Lee and his brothers from the orphanage. She remarried in 1945 but separated from her husband in 1946.The Oswald family moved around a lot. Oswald went to school in Texas, Louisiana and New York. While in New York City, Lee began to exhibit behavioral problems in school. A social worker deemed him to be an average student who was emotionally starved. He often had fantasies in which he held power over other people. (source:[http://wiki.answers.com/who-killed-jfk7.htm#warrencommissionreport]).At 16, Oswald dropped out of school and tried to join the Marine Corps. The Marines rejected his application because of his young age. He worked odd jobs and began to read Communist literature. He wrote to the Socialist Party of America when he was 17 to express his enthusiasm for Marxism.Six days after he turned 17, he reapplied to the Marines and was accepted. Oswald qualified as a sharpshooter during boot camp. Later, he would take a similar test and rate only as marksman, one rank lower than sharpshooter. Oswald served in the Marines from 1956 until 1959. Much of his time in the Marines was spent overseas. While in the Marines, Oswald taught himself Russian and continued to study the Soviet Union.Three days after leaving the Marines, Oswald left home on a long trip to the Soviet Union. He had falsified an application to the Albert Schweitzer College in Switzerland to obtain a passport. Once in Moscow, he applied for Soviet citizenship. Soviet officials denied his request and ordered him to leave Moscow. On Oct. 21, 1959, Oswald slashed his left wrist in an apparent suicide attempt. Soviet officials said Oswald could stay in the Soviet Union on a year-to-year basis. While Oswald expressed interest in renouncing his American citizenship, he never made it official.Oswald met, fell in love with and married Marina Nikolaevna Prusakova. After his marriage, Oswald wrote to the Soviet and American embassies, seeking a return to the United States. He had become disenchanted with the realities of the Soviet Union, which failed to meet his expectations. The pair left Moscow on June 1, 1962.Upon his return, Oswald stayed with his brother and then his mother before securing an apartment. The FBI interviewed Oswald regarding his decision to move to the Soviet Union and subsequent decision to return to the United States. Oswald agreed to inform the FBI should any representative from the Soviet Union ask him to engage in Espionage activities.Oswald's wife Marina spoke little English and felt isolated. The Oswalds met a small community of Russian-speaking people in Dallas. Lee Harvey Oswald continued to criticize the United States and capitalism. Marina became close friends with a woman named Ruth Paine, who felt sympathy for the young bride. On April 10, 1963, four days after losing his job, Lee Harvey Oswald attempted to murder Major General Edwin A. Walker. Oswald used a rifle he had purchased through mail order using a false name. The attempt failed, and the Oswalds decided to leave town before the authorities could identify the assailant. The two left Texas for New Orleans. In Louisiana, Oswald tried to establish a chapter of the Fair Play for Cuba Committee. Oswald was the sole member of the chapter, though he attempted to hand out flyers and give interviews as though it were a large organization. In September 1963, Marina left New Orleans to live with Ruth Paine in Texas. Meanwhile, Oswald traveled to Mexico City in an effort to visit the Cuban and Russian embassies. After several failed attempts to secure a visa to travel to Cuba and the Soviet Union, Oswald returned to the United States and moved to Dallas. He secured a job with the Texas School Book Depository on Oct. 16, 1963. A little over a month later, he would shoot the President of the United States. Two days later, Jack Ruby shot and killed Oswald as police prepared to transport him to a secure location. Oswald died in the same hospital as JFK -- Parkland Memorial. It seems as though Oswald felt he was an outsider and was never satisfied with his surroundings. He left the United States for the Soviet Union, grew disenchanted with the realities of Communism, returned to the United States and then tried to get back to the U.S.S.R. From various reports and interviews, it seems as though Soviet and Cuban officials were unimpressed with Oswald. Based on these and other numerous facts, the Warren Commission concluded that Oswald acted as the lone gunman.
