There has not been a King (or Queen) of England since 1707.

England is a part of, but not the same as, The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

King George VI was King of The United kingdom until he died on 6th February 1952 and was succeeded by his daughter, Queen Elizabeth II.
