They would take them to Albany, New York.
Britain wanted to cut off New England from the rest of the colonies so they could get into control of the Hudson River and split up the troops.
Britain

Same place. Different name. Edit: Whoever put the above comment doesn't know their geography. 'Same place. Different name.' is completely wrong. England and Wales are the southern half of Great Britain, Wales is the bit sticking out to the west and the rest of the south of Great Britain is England.
Other way round- Great Britain refers to the Unions between England and Wales, and England and Scotland. Although Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, it is not included in Great Britain. The term 'Great' was coined when Britain began to develop an Empire and to colonise and rule large parts of the rest of the world.
Britain is not technically ruled by a woman. While the Queen of England is, in fact, a woman - she and the rest of the royal family - are more figure heads at current. The political system within England functions from Parliament.
The industrial revolution took place in England. This was mostly because England was a country by itself separated from the other European countries. This gave England a very big advantage from the rest of Europe. The industrial revolution began in the 1700's in Manchester, England. The Industrial Revolution began in Great Britain between 1760 and 1840.
Great Britain. (The British)

Britain refers to the 3 countries- Scotland, England and Wales- that came together to form one nation. It is now the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland- since Northern Ireland is a separate island from the rest of Britain.

The Romans withdrew from England and Wales to better defend the rest of the Empire from incursions happening on the mainland.
They are not common in Great Britain and the rest of Europe, but they do occur. A tornado in Birmingham, England in July of 2005 destroyed a row of houses, but did not result in any fatalities.
Whatever the rest of Europe felt, they felt it too. Britain, cold war wise, was part of Europe.
England existed long before USA and Australia. We are here talking about nations and not the physical land masses.EDIT:The Kingdom of Great Britain colonised Jamestown, Virginia in 1607.They colonised New South Wales (original Aussie settlement) in 1788.Canada (New Britain) was colonised in 1583.England (as well as the rest of Great Britain and the UK) have been around for hundreds and hundreds of years. So, in order of colonisation;England, Canada, US, TCA.Cheers.

Northern Ireland can never be part of Britain, as Britain is an island consisting of England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland is on the completely separate island called Ireland. Northern Ireland cannot be broken off the rest of the island of Ireland and dragged over to Britain and made into one piece of land. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, which consists of itself and the three parts of Britain, which are England, Scotland and Wales. Whether they want to stay as part of the United Kingdom or not is for the people of Northern Ireland to decide, and them only (under terms of the Good Friday Agreement). Neither Great Britain nor the rest of Ireland has any say.
