The Axis powers consisted of those who were signatories of the Rome-Berlin-Tokyo agreement, the treaty of alliance between Italy, Germany, and Japan. At first Russia, but then Hitler tried to wipe them out and failed, so they switched sides.
The Allies were Great Britain (and all of the Commonwealth, including Canada, Australia and New Zealand), France, the United States, Belgium, Poland and other overrun countries that fought as best they could.

∙ 13y agoThe following countries were part of the Axis Forces that the Allied Forces fought to free the rest of Europe and Africa. They fought against Japan and a few Asian nations too. The Allied Forces were victorious over the Axis Forces nations.

∙ 14y agoAssuming that you are American or British - Germany, Italy, Japan were the principal enemies. In addition, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, San Marina, Finland, Irag, Thailand and Yugoslavia joined to lesser or greater degrees.
There were several nations which were occupied by Axis powers and had "puppet" governments which declared war on the Allied nations. Korea, Mongolia, Burma, the Philippines, India Vietnam, Cambodia Laos, Montenegro, Slovakia, Serbia, Albania, Hungary, Macedonia, Croatia, Greece, France, Denmark, Sweden. With the exception of brief resistance by French units during the Anglo-American invasion of North Africa, none of this second group actual put a national army in combat however the Germans recruited approximately 500,000 volunteers who fought in foreign units of the Waffen SS.
Germany persecuted the Jews in the countries that they conquered (except in France which persecuted their own Jews) however, Germany did not persecute the Jews of their allies. Three Finnish Jews were awarded the Iron Cross for valour by the 3rd Reich in fighting the Russians.
