Many of my friends and I go to FX School in Andheri (W), Mumbai.
We are taking the 12 month Diploma course in Visual Effects & Animation (although some of my friends are doing the Visual Effects & Film-making Diploma course where they spend more time with the camera).
It's an awesome institute! Great faculty and course. Lots of practicals, so am getting tons of experience and practice. Totally equipped with Apple computers and the institute also has a fully equipped studio where we are taught to shoot with a green screen and then do CG work on our own shots on the computer. Hard work, but so much FUN!
Plus, the atmosphere is like a studio... totally world class! We're also seeing tht Senior students get to work on live projects to build work experience and their portfolio.
Oh, and the best part is that they have a tie up with FXPHD. FXPHD is the international training institute in VFX that trains top studios like ILM the chaps who have made the Iron Manseries!!!
