Personally, I like George Washington because he was an amazing iconic figure and was the first president which must have taken some guts, because he had nobody to shadow or learn from. He also took a strong stand against prejudice by visiting a synagogue, which nobody back then was doing.

I like Abraham Lincoln. Not only did he keep the United States together as a nation and also emancipate the slaves, but he wasn't afraid to change: he had originally decided to stay out of the slavery issue, but eventually he came to believe it was wrong and needed to end, so he did what he could to end it. I also like that he was self-taught, and he really was honest-- the nickname "Honest Abe," according to the newspapers of his day, was very appropriate and described what kind of person he was to do business with.
