If you use a USB dial up modem then yes you can. But of course you will have to have the modem manufacturers software to use it, and it has to support 10.7. I don't believe the later Mac's have any scripts for modems as Apple has dropped support for them completely.

An Apple USB modem can be purchased directly from Apple through their website. Alternatively, one can find this modem at an electronics store, such as Best Buy or Amazon.
