The spring side goes down into the thermostat body.. leaving the nipple end upwards
you dont. the thermostat comes with a new gasket, its best to use it and its very easy to repalce, just scrape off the old one and put on the new one.
get the old one out put the new one in
ok you look on the front of the block....take the thermostat cover off..then take the old one out and put the new one in and put the cover back on.....
the thermostat is in a plastic housing that comes together just remove the old one and put the new one don't buy the thermostat separate from an aftermarket
get another one and put it in
unscrew take old out, drop new in with gasket put baqck screws IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO CHANGE A THERMOSTAT, LEAVE YOUR HOOD CLOSED!
You take the old one out and put a new one in.
take it out and put a new one in!
Open up the thermostat housing, clean off the old gasket, pull out the old one, put the new one in, put the new gasket in, tighten everything back up.
You remove the old one and put a new one
So, it still has the old thermostat right? Maybe it needs a new one or maybe it got put in upside down. It's easy to do.
there is a hose coming out of the top of the radiator.. follow the hose to the front of the engine. it should end at the front of the engine between the ac compressor and the altinor.. there is two bolts to the left and the right of were the end of the hose is. remove those and the casing for the thermostat should come off quite easy dont forget how the old thermostat was situated. scrap the gasket off of the casing and the front of the intake manifold. put the new gasket in and then the new thermostat the same way the other one was. and put the casing back on. you dont need to use a torque wrench just tighten the bolts down.
