It turns to the left.
you have to remove the cooling fan to change the fan clutch. you need to loosen the fan shroud, be careful to remember the serpenting belp routing, maybe draw a diagram to remind you. 4 bolts holding the fan to the water pump, 4 bolts holding the clutch to the fan. this is how i did mine on a 5.0l Chevy truck
connected to your water pump.
First remove the accessory drive belt- then loosen the large nut that attaches the fan clutch assembly to the water pump pulley being careful to loosen the nut clock wise not counter clockwise (It is a left handed thread)-now you can remove the fan to clutch bolts so you can separate the clutch assembly from the fan.
It is a fan with a clutch. You have to have clutch wrentches to remove it. The nut that holds it to the water pump is an 1 1/2 nut. You have to hold the water pump pulley from turning and loosen the nut by turning it counter clockwise (as you are looking at it).
There is a tool that you can buy or sometimes borrow from the parts store that is made to hold the shaft in place while you loosen the center fan bolt, I used a pipe wrench but it was a tight squeeze.
The fan clutch on a 2007 Dodge Ram is turned clockwise to tighten, counter clockwise to loosen.
I had the same problem with our TB. It is connected to the water pump. Have your water pump replaced and your problem will be solved. Water pump cost approx. $80
Unless the fan clutch is bad just remove it with the water pump. Otherwise it is a 36mm fan clutch wrench that most auto parts stores have for rent.

Disconnect the battery. Using a clutch fan tool, hold the clutch to loosen and remove it. Remove the fan shroud. Drain the radiator. Remove the water pump belt, then the pump. Install the pump and reverse the process to finish the process.
Get the correct water pump and clutch for your car. Loosen the alternator and remove the fan. Remove the bracelets, hoses and the retaining bolts. Remove the water pump and replace it with the new one.
