A:In the three major Abrahamic religions, angels, archangels and Satan were created by God. In Christianity and Islam, Satan is evil and is also called Lucifer, but Satan is the loyal assistant of God in Judaism, where he is tasked with testing the righteousness of the faithful and is never called Lucifer.

The Old Testament never mentions angels, as we now know them, in anything written before the Babylonian Exile. Similarly, the earliest mention of Satan is in the Book of Chronicles, written after the time of the Babylonian Exile. So they first appeared in Judaism at the time of the Exile, or shortly afterwards. We know that the Persians, benefactors of the Jews, believed in spirits very similar to angels, archangels and Satan, in their own Zoroastrian faith. Arguably, the founder of Zoroastrianism could be the real originator of angels, archangels and Satan.

Satan was given the name Lucifer in the Christian religion, because of a misreading of Isaiah chapter 14, but this refers to the king of Babylon, who laid the nations low. It talks of his pomp and splendour, how he had ruled the nations in anger, and his fate after his overthrow by the king of Persia. He had compared himself to the Morning Star (and was thus derisorily called 'Lucifer' - lucem ferre, which mean "light-bearer", a name for the dawn appearance of the planet Venus) and had thought that he would ascend into heaven and sit among the stars, but was now himself persecuted. Christian scholars misunderstood this text and assumed that it referred to Satan or the devil.

Who are the parents of lucifer's?

Ezek:28:13: Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Lucifer did not have parents. He, like Adam and Eve, was created by God.

Do you guys know who was the first devil?

Biblically Lucifer is the first devil. An angel from heaven who God had set apart and given special privileges and authority. Lucifer was admired for his beauty. Lucifer became prideful of this and out of this Lucifer deemed himself better than God and wished to exalt himself higher than God. Therefore fault and wickedness was found to have grown within him. God banised him to hell. The archangel Michael cast him out along with a third of all the angels.

Who are the arc-angels?

Archangels are superior or higher-ranking angels. Archangels are found in a number of religious traditions, including Islam, Judaism and Zoroastrianism. In Biblical Christianity, the only archangel ever clearly named as being of the order is Michael. The New Testament rarely speaks of angels, and makes only two references to archangels: Michael in Jude 1.9 and I Thessalonians 4:16, where the "voice of an archangel" will be heard at the return of Christ. Contrary to popular belief, Gabriel is never called 'archangel' in the Gospels. In later Church tradition, however, there are three archangels: Michael, Gabriel, and usually Raphael; sometimes Uriel is given as a fourth. Eastern Orthodox tradition mentions "thousands of archangels" but venerates only seven of them by name. Uriel is included, and the other three are most often named Selaphiel, Jegudiel, and Barachiel.Sometimes Satan (named Satanel in the Book of Enoch) is considered a fallen archangel whose original name was Lucifer. Some Protestants view Michael as the sole archangel, as the only one explicitly described as such in the Protestant canon of the Bible. In art, archangels are usually depicted with larger wings and many eyes. Some of the more commonly represented archangels are Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, Metatron, Uriel, and Satanel.

When did Archangel Raphael become a saint?

The angels, including the archangels, were created by God as pure spirits long before the Earth even existed. All the angels are given the title of "saint" as they are in heaven serving Our Lord. In other words, they were created as saints and not simply declared saints by man.Another Opinion:If he exists (he doesn't appear - at least by name - outside the book of Tobit, which is not regarded as canonical by many Christian sects) he was a saint from the beginning, since he is an angel, and not fallen, and therefore dwelling in heaven. However, he was presumably officially recognized as a saint about the same time the Roman Catholic church accepted the book of Tobit as canonical (I couldn't easily find any information on his exact canonization date).

Is Satan a deity in Christianity?

No he is not. Satan who's name was Lucifer, was once called the angel of light, was an angel who wanted to be more powerful than God. Lucifer was then cast out of Heaven along with about one-third of the angels in Heaven. The word satan is a Hebrew word that means adversary. Since he was now an adversary of God, the name satan was given to him.

Are Angels created beings?

Answer:Yes, angels are created spirit beings."...of the angels He saith, Who maketh His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire..." (Heb.1:7)."... are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" (verse 14)Lucifer, Gabriel and Michael are the three named archangels in God's Word, whom, the indication is, were given command authority over one-third each of all of God's created angels.Speaking of Satan, the Dragon, Revelation 12 says: "...his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth..." (Rev.12:4).Revelation is written as a parable, and therefore in metaphor and allegorical symbols, which the Bible interprets for us."...the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches..." (Rev.1:20).The indication is that the "third part of the stars of heaven" whom the Dragon drew with him into his rebellion were probably the one-third of God's created angels whom God put under his authority in the beginning when he was still a perfect creation, not yet perverted by his own beauty (Ezek.28:17).And when the war in heaven broke out... it's revealed that Michael, too, has his own angels to command (Rev.12:7).Of Lucifer, who became God's adversary, Satan, over his questioning of God's authority, the Bible says: "...thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so... thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that THOU WAST CREATED, till iniquity was found in thee..." (Ezek.28:14-15).God's Word tells us that Jesus Christ, the WORD of God... the spokesman and creating agent of the Father in heaven, created ALL THINGS:"...All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made..." (John 1:3)."All things" includes the angels.

Is a guardian angel a person who was always alive?

The Bible teaches that angels were created by God, they are not former humans, they were always angels since the day that God created them. The Bible does not mention any separate type of angel called a "guardian angel". All angels are given the job of protecting God's children.

How did the devil end up in hell?

Short answer: Pride. Long answer: From what I understand, the devil was first called Lucifer, the highest of all of God's angels. He was created perfect, like the other angels and like men. Also like men, the angels were given free will. So Lucifer decided that he was not content being the highest angel, he wanted to be God himself. It was this pride that ultimately led to him being cast out of Heaven as a fallen angel, along with the other angels that he had convinced to join him, ultimately to go to Hell. Regardless of the origin, the devil promotes sin in the world, not only the glaring sins like murder, but the equally bad sins of lust and envy, which are pretty much commonplace these days. He sows discord and detachment from God, which leads other people to Hell, and for things like this he is found deserving of going to Hell.

Who are the seven archangels?

If you are referring to the seven angels in Revelation who carried out God's plagues onto the Earth, their names are not given, only the descriptions of their plagues: boils, the sea turning into blood, rivers and springs turning into blood, sun scorching people with intense heat, painful darkness, the Euphrates river drying up, and lastly one great plague containing lightning, thunder, and the greatest earthquake the world has ever seen or ever will see.
