Segregation started to be abolished. Rights were being restored for everyone not just the whites. Whites started to help the blacks and fight for them. There are still a lot of issues to be resolved but we all need to read his speech and keep talking about

keeping the dream to keep coming true.

Martin Luther King was known as a very wise man.

Unlike you.

For one thing, learn to spell...please. I am assuming you meant "racist". With that assumption, here is an answer:

Yes, white people were racist towards black people during an era of American history that was terrible. But, as a society, we have to move forward with our lives. I am not suggesting that we totally bury the hatchet, but what was done in the past was done...nothing can be done now to change it. Racisim-from all different races (because believe it or not, many blacks are extremely racist towars other races, in fact they are the most racist culture in America at this point in time)-needs to be stopped. Isn't it time that we can look past the color of our skin and actually take time to look at the quality of our character?

And judging from your question, I guess that you are about seven or eight years old. Please, get a good education so you don't come off as ignorantly as you did in your question.
