Henry VIII's parents Henry VII of England and Princess Elizabeth of York both had fathers. So his paternal grandfather (father of Henry VII) was Edmund Tudor, the son of Queen Dowager Catherine of Valois and Owen Tudor. His maternal grandfather (father of Elizabeth) was King Edward IV of York who was the king of England from 4 March 1461 to 3 October 1470 and again from 11 April 1471 to 9 April 1483.
