Why after removing the wires and 3 bolts on the wiper motor of ymy 1993 Ford Ranger does it seem to be still attached to the fire wall HELP?

Have to disconnect the linkage to the wipers - may have to remove screen at botom of windshield for access

They say you have to pull the engine out to get to it, but if you just loosen the motor mount brackets and pick the motor up a few inches you will be able to get the oil pan bolts. Remove the mounting bolts and lower the pan. Make sure to remove the spacers if there are any and clean around the edge of it before replacing.
