most African countries are not poor at all infact they are very rich in culture and resources like gold, silver, copper, oil etc..
Even though they have so many resources, the reason why they are poor is because of corrupt governments and small percents of the population who are actually educated. Basically it means that governments are really bad because they keep all the money to themselves and all the people living in that country don't have any money because the government has it all. Also, most countries have a dictator and now some countries are rebelling against them (eg. Egypt, Libya,etc.). Also, as you might know, most jobs today require at least a high school education, but most kids in many African countries don't even know how to read because unlike it here in the US, they have to pay for their own education because their government doesn't provided it, so forget the high school education and that means no job which in turn equals no money.
