Why are some Germans blue eyed and blond while others are dark haired and brown eyes?

For the same reason that English, French, Italian, American, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, etc., etc. people have differences in complexion, hair and eye color. Since time immemorial national borders have been crossed by people from other nations - sometimes peacefully, sometimes belligerently. But in every case emigrees and/or invaders have remained in whatever foreign land they have found themselves. This is not limited to European countries; it has happened on every continent. We're all mutts and mongrels!
