What are the roles of a Category Supervisor?
Category Supervisors differ from Floating Supervisors, as they are responsible for overseeing a particular category (or categories in some cases). They have no extra abilities, but mainly focus on their category.
Are category Supervisors restricted to supervising only their categories on WikiAnswers?
No, not in the least. All WikiAnswers Supervisors have the same influence in every category. Category Supervisors usually spend more time in their respective categories, but are in no way restricted to where they can contribute.
What is the ratio between supervisors and users on WikiAnswers?
Tricky one to answer. Supervisors don't supervise a set number of contributors - they supervise individual categories. For example - I supervise the Snakes category. Some categories will be more popular than others - and thus attract more contributors.
Can Senior Supervisors edit contributor's profiles?
This depends on whether or not the Senior Supervisor is also an Advanced Supervisor. Senior Supervisors are those who oversee top-level categories such as Animal Life or Entertainment & Arts. Advanced Supervisors are those who work in the catch-all categories organizing and deleting questions which don't belong on the site. Advanced Supervisors are also given a few more extra powers such as the ability to edit profiles and other things. So, some Senior Supervisors have the ability to edit profiles, and some do not.
Can you delete categories from this website?
Categories can be deleted, but only by Answers employees not by it's regular users or Supervisors.
Which categories on WikiAnswers are for Supervisors only?
The categories that are open only for supervisors are the catch-all categories. Note: 'Catch-all Questions' the category, not the catch-all categories (e.x. 'Adds No Value') is able to be viewed by regular contributors and regular contributors have the ability to add questions there.
Why do you keep you first Supervisor badge when you get the Senior Supervisor badge?
Senior Supervisors are still regular Supervisors. The only difference is that they just oversee a top-level category. Some Supervisors may also supervise categories that are not part of their top-level category.
