You can only list three categories on WikiAnswers questions because a single question should only relate to a maximum of three categories.
For example, if you ask "What is the population of Canada?", it would go under Canada.
If you ask "What is the population of Canada and what are the rules to Canadian Basketball?", it would go under more than three categories. But, you should only ask one question in a single question, and not multiple questions in a single question (as shown here).
(See Related Question.)
Promoted questions are questions chosen by the WikiAnswers team to be promoted. This list is different than the Featured Questions list.
A list of categories is provided when submitting a question
When you type a question on Wikianswers, the question will go under a category to the left called "My contributions." When you click that option, there will be a drop-down menu that allows you to click on "Questions (asked)." Once you click that, you can see all of the questions that you have asked as a user member on Wikianswers.
There are many, many categories that can be used, including many "catch-all" categories for questions that for various reasons should be removed. Go to any question that you have asked and click on [Edit categories]. You can explore the list. If you click on the triangles to the left of some entries you will see a pull-down of more categories.
