Take? I'm an academic so forgive me if the facts disagree. Aztlàn is a mythical place. It has been located or theorized to be located in Florida, north of the Colorado River and what you are probably thinking that it is Arizona, California, New Mexico and parts of Texas. The Nahua people and subsequent Mexica émigrés was postulated to be from central Mexico, not Arizona, New Mexico or any other part of the United States. Eduardo Matos Moctezuma presumes Aztlán to be somewhere in the modern-day states of Guanajuato, Jalisco, and Michoacán. So, since these states were never "taken" from Mexico, or at least never taken by a North American, my answer is, the question is flawed. If you are asking why the United States took these south western states, the answer is, they were spoils of war. A war was fought and a winner emerged. Texas fought a war. They won. Pretty straight forward really.
There is no legal or historical basis for Americans to claim ancestral lands like Aztlan. Manifest Destiny, an ideology in the 19th century, justified U.S. expansion into Mexican territories, but it was based on notions of racial superiority and imperial ambitions rather than legitimate rights.
Some Americans may find British accents amusing because they sound different or exotic, and they may be mimicking them in a light-hearted way. It can also stem from cultural stereotypes or media portrayals that emphasize British accents as fancier or posher.
The phrase "take the words right out of your mouth" likely originates from the idea of accurately predicting or articulating someone's thoughts or intentions before they have a chance to speak them aloud, as if removing the words directly from their mouth. It emphasizes the precision or insightfulness of the speaker's comment.
The Russian word for hello is Здравствуйте. I know, it looks complicated, but I'll break it down. Simply, it is pronounced "Zdrahs-tvee-tye", with a slightly rolled "r". It may take a while to get it right, but it will be so rewarding. Trust me. You feel so intelligent when you can say such a complex word just for "hello". Now, to say "hi", is something completely different... Feel free to improve this answer! :) ZDRAHS-tvuy-te

If you take out the hyphen, yes. It may not be the right word but this is not a question of grammar. Americans tend to use 'one fourth', and British people tend to use 'a quarter', but really it's a matter of personal preference.

well it depends on what she did by cheating and how you feel about it. Remember, do what you feel is right, and think about it. You can take my opinion to heart but do not make your decision on what I said or any of your friends say. Make the decision if you feel it is right.
