∙ 14y agoGermans came to Johannesburg (and the whole of South Africa) for the same reason as did many other Europeans, for work, new land and at the time (juse like America) it was seen as a land of prosperity because there was untapped Natural Resources (such as Gold and Diamonds) and large amounts of land.
