Hitler went to war because he felt that Germany was disgraced in the great war because of the jews and he (also he though of himself as germany which is why most of his sppechs and the SS you know german groups loyal to hitler used the fatherland bascially as a term for hitler) felt that since all germans were the greatest race they deserved all the land they wanted

Germany plunged Europe into war early in September 1939. Key German elites at the time had a sense of boundless "entitlement". They thought they were morally, academically and racially superior and therefore "entitled" to all kinds of things. In various forms this attitude had been prevalent among large sections of the elites since the 1890s. From 1933 onwards the Hitler Youth sang "Today we have Germany / Tomorrow the whole world". The Nazis believed in numerous things that eventually led to the outbreak of World War Two. They believed that the Aryan race - people who were ethnically German - were superioir to all other races. In particular, they considered the Jews and Slavs of Eastern Europe to be "sub-human".

The Nazis wanted to unite all ethnically German people under a greater Germany and this led to them annexing a number of countries: Austria and Czechoslovakia. Furthermore the Nazis believed that Germany needed to create "Lebensraum" or "living-space" in the east for the superior Aryan people. This aggressive foreign policy led to them to invade Poland and consequently forced Britain and France to declare war on Germany. Ultimately, Nazi Germany went to war with the Allies as it was invading regions to which it had no claim and therefore needed to be stopped.
