Muslim and Hindu cultures clashed based on various factors, the most dominate being religious practices concerning religious hierarchy, religious celebration, and most importantly the religious belief about who and what God is. Muslim and Hindu cultures were able to eventually blend together because the Muslim influence was forced upon the Hindu people with no options but to convert to Islam, be put to death, or pay the non-Muslim fees. In essence the two cultures were able to blend by the Hindu culture accepting the Muslim culture by force or by choice, as many Hindu people converted to Islam of their own personal choice.

They did clash but never really Blended. What appears as Blending is actually a FORCED ANNIHILATION of other Cultures including Hindu's at the hands of Islam. Islam and Hindu faiths have NOTHING in common.A background in history will help understand some misconceptions. India was a very Tolerant Nation with a spiritual culture that dates back more than 7000 BC , going by the Harappa and M Daro ruins . People in India were peaceful and most times managed to spread a peaceful message throughout the world like in the spread of Buddhism. Buddhists did not rape , plunder or force convert other people.India saw it's periodic Islamic Invasions from Mass Murderers like Gengis Khan, Mahmud of Ghazni, Muhammad Ghori and Barbar. Every time they invaded - Indian Kings fought them back successfully but 'forgave' them ( A TOTAL MISTAKE in their part . Tolerance has ALWAYS been a mistake of Hindu culture ) . There were certain "Human" laws even in the warfare as conceived by Hindu culture e.g. You should NOT kill an Enemy Army when they are asleep unarmed , fighting after dusk is not allowed , so is killing innocent civilians during wartime, prohibited. While Indian kings vigorously stuck to these standards moslem invaders had NO Qualms about carrying out MASS MURDERS , RAPES & plundering in the name of Islam. At that time India was the GOLDEN BIRD in terms of wealth. Everyone wanted to find a route to India and before the West ( aka Christopher Columbus finds America while searching for India ) , Moslems from Arabia and Turkey had their eyes on India and conquered India unsuccessfully several times but instead of being destroyed they were "let go" after they begged for their life and gave false promises. Once they found out that Man to Man combat is not possible - they conquered using inhuman practices e.g. Mass Murder of enemy's army at night time , a cruelty that could not be conceived by Indians. Even AFTER MOSLEMS CULTURE PERSISTED IN INDIA ( totally from forced conversions to islam ) , HINDUS CONTINUED TO BEHAVE LIKE GENTLEMEN AND MOSLEMS CONTINUED TO HAVE AN ANIMAL LIFESTYLE . THERE WERE CLASHES ALWAYS WHEN ISLAMIC TERRORISTS TRIED TO INFRINGE ON THE RIGHTS OF HINDUS ( ACTUALLY NON MOSLEMS INCLUDING CHRISTIANS ) .

Why do Hindus hate Muslims?

Humans have disagreed about religion since there was such a thing. Hindus and Muslims follow faiths that are pretty opposed to each other. Everyone wants to believe they are right. That is just human nature. When the indifference becomes more and more strong, it turns to 'Hatred'.In addition to that, Hindus and Muslims in India have been in close contact for centuries and so have had plenty of opportunity to clash. A lot of conflicts rise from the fact that India was first Hindu and then it was conquered by Muslims who established the Mughal empire. Muslim invaders often demolished Hindu temples and built mosques on Hindu holy sites. Another problem rose when the British rule of India was ending. The British, who were unhappy at being thrown out, decided to set the people against one another before they left. They raised tensions, and people like Jinnah decided that they did not want a Hindu [Mahatma Gandhi] for prime minister. When huge riots arose, a partition finally happened, that left both sides feeling sore and ill treated. India, mostly Hindu, and Pakistan, mostly Muslim, have been kind of at each other's throats since then. Then the issue that the Babri Masjid, an abandoned Muslim mosque, had been built by the invaders on the site where Lord Rama, a Hindu God, had been born. They wanted to reclaim this understandably holy site, and of course the Muslims felt that this was unfair, since their mosque was already there. [Never mind that it was not in service anymore].For these and countless other reasons, there is some animosity between some Hindus and some Muslims. Also, the hatred depends on the individuals not the community at large. Not all the Hindus hate Muslims and not all the Muslims hate Hindus.Especially in India, Hindus and Muslims live in harmony now!

How do you think the spreading of Jews through the Romans' world affected Jewish culture?

The spreading of Jews through the Roman world affected Jewish culture in a number of ways. Anytime there is a culture clash, both cultures will come away with new habits. Mixing with different cultures can have a watering down effect on the practice of religion, and the mixing also exposed Jews to different food preparation methods and social mores.
