∙ 14y agoSome may say not everyone liked Winston Churchill. Churchill came across as likable because his speeches were very appealing, with great gravitas & simplicity. He represented Britain possibly as well as anyone could have done. He came across as sincere. But that doesn't mean that either FDR or Stalin thought he was wholly to be accepted at face value. (FDR might have been better advised: Stalin, obviously, was playing an entirely different game in world politics.) But even in the UK Churchill had his opponents, even during the war, and some generals openly disagreed with his military leadership. And then there was de General de Gaulle of France......
