∙ 9y agoSome Native American Tribes were unhappy by the way the US government had treated them over the years. As a result of this some believed that the Confederacy would help their cause. The Cherokee Nation took part of the Battle of Pea Ridge on the side of the Confederacy. Sadly for them this soon later led to a Union invasion of their territory in what is now Oklahoma. President Lincoln agreed with the invasion. Unknown to him was that the army laid waste to many Native Americans there.
