Some Native American Tribes were unhappy by the way the US government had treated them over the years. As a result of this some believed that the Confederacy would help their cause. The Cherokee Nation took part of the Battle of Pea Ridge on the side of the Confederacy. Sadly for them this soon later led to a Union invasion of their territory in what is now Oklahoma. President Lincoln agreed with the invasion. Unknown to him was that the army laid waste to many Native Americans there.

By the South, I assume you are referring to the American Civil War. The South was trying to get support from Europe (such as the UK for example) to aid them in the war. However, Europe never got involved in the American Civil War.

Officially, England remained neutral during the American Civil War. The general public in England tended to support the Union, while the elites of the country tended to support the South.
The South was rebelling against the federal government during the war and the native americans had never been given any reason to like the feds. They joined the souths rebellion.
The Emancipation Proclamation led to the freeing of slaves, some of which joined the Union Army (helping the Union, partly, to prevail in the Civil War). European countries did not support the South in the American Civil War. International support for the North in the American Civil War increased. More African Americans in the south joined the union army.
