∙ 11y agoPoland was initially invade by both Russia and germany in 1939 as they divided up eastern Europe in 1941 the nazis invaded Russia (operation barbarossa) it was in September 1944 that the polish resistance (the AK) staged an uprising ahead of the advancing soviets but the soviets stopped short of Poland and let the Germans kill them. After Germany surrendered Poland was occupied by communist Russia for the next 40+ years. So there was no invasion of Poland in 1947.
