Libya is going against the humanitarian rights. These rights basically mean that this is against what everyone believes and the Libyian leader is killing his own people. The United Nation has to take part and stop what is happening. Not only is the U.S involved but so is Europe.
The only reason that America is involved in Libya is simple because it wants to steal the libyan oil, which is among the best petroleum in the world because of its composition and richness. America is currently stealing oil from Iraq. America will kill anyone and any nation that stands in its way, so it uses Kadafi as an excuse. Ask yourselves, if America is such a goody goody country, then why doent it stay in places like Haiti, where much help is needed, places like Costa Rica, where all sorts of human rights have been committed and because locked up in cells forever and all with the consent of America...Ill tell you why, its simply because there is no oil there.
Why doesnt America play with Russia, or China, because America knows that she just may get her butt kicked. America can only pick on the little guy, and when the little guy defends himself America calls him a leftist and a communist.
Money. However Americans/the world would NEVER agree with war for money. Therefore, our government and media Propaganda claims it was for "humanitarian" reasons. See, Libya has lots of oil. When countries purchase oil, they use DOLLARS. Gadhafi's planned to quit selling Libyan oil in U.S. dollars. He wanted to get payment in gold-backed "dinars" (a single African currency made from gold). The regime, sitting on massive amounts of gold, estimated at close to 150 tons, was also pushing other African and Middle Eastern governments to follow suit.
This literally had the potential to bring down the dollar and the world monetary system by extension, according to analysts. French President Nicolas Sarkozy reportedly went so far as to call Libya a "threat" to the financial security of the world. The "Insiders" were apparently panicking over Gadhafi's plan.
We did the same thing in Iraq. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Saddam Hussein wanted Euros in exchange for oil. Then the Bush administration/the media claimed it was for "weapons of mass destruction."
The United States hasn't declared war on anyone since December 8, 1941. All the armed conflicts since then have not been officially "wars", although you're just as dead in a "police action" or "counterinsurgency mission" or "humanitarian operation" or "kinetic military activity" as you would be in a declared war.
The Unite Nations declared a "no-fly zone" over Libya to prevent the air forces from attacking rebels. This may or may not have been a good idea. The air forces of the USA, Britain, and France have fired missiles at anti-aircraft sites and have shot down Libyan combat aircraft.
because the U.S don't really like Libya
they are enemies
therefore they pick fights with each other
Oil
NO. The US is relatively disinterested in Libya's current civil war and will likely ignore the region. Besides the US intervention in Libya in 2011 has soured many Americans on the idea of intervening in Libya another time.
No, and the US did not declare war on Finland. However, UK declared war on Finland on 6 December 1941.
For the United States, only the US Congress has the power to declare war. That's explicit in the US consitution.
The US did not declare war on Germany. Germany declared war on the US shortly after the Japanese attack on Hawaii.
The odds are against it.
