Why was the Ipad created?
Answer: The Ipad was created so people could have a computer on them yet be able to put in almost any spot. It isn't very easy to find a spot for a full sized computer, that is why the Ipad is a must for people who travel.

Apple must have seen no market at the time so introduced a smaller version; the iPhone.
It's large screen size also allows for developers to create more immersive apps
