Why did they want to crash the twin towers?

Islamic terrorists, mostly Saudi nationals linked to Al Qaeda, flew two large passenger aircraft into the Twin Towers of the New York World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, in an effort to deter opposition to their social and political agenda. The hijackers committed suicide while killing over 3000 people from many countries who worked in the towers. They were trained and funded by groups linked to Osama bin Laden (finally tracked down and killed by the US Military in 2011).

(The buildings, being huge metal structures, were not "knocked down," but rather collapsed of their own weight when structural elements were damaged by burning fuel from the planes.)

Because Radical Islam hates the U.S. and any other free nation. They fear that an elected government will result in change that they cannot control. They fear that they will be destroyed as a force in the region. As a result, they tried to destroy the U.S. economy, in hopes that we would not be able or willing to stop the threat of radical, militant Islam in the world. The attack on 9/11 was little more than hate for our way of life. They are intent on taking over the world. They want to destroy all who will not convert to radical Islam.

It was obviously a controlled demolition. People said jet fuel dripped down the side of the plane. Most of the jet fuel was ignited during the initial explosion, therefore it would not drip down the side. Jet fuel burns at 800º to 1500ºF, not hot enough to melt steel (2750ºF). The black smoke proved that the fire was oxygen-starved. The Twin Towers were the first steel buildings to collapse from fire. The Meridian Plaza, another steel building, burned for 19 straight hours without collapsing.

Arabs do not want our help. They want our money for oil. Radical Islamists have been trying to attack the WTC for years. Osama was pissed that Saudi Arabia chose America to defend against Iraq instead of his forces/followers. They want us off "their sacred land". They do not like meddling from the West. They do not like Western culture or society. Not only has America been attacked, but many European nations as well. So no, it's not that BS that Americans are arrogant. That is pure ignorance and stereotypical.

"They" destroyed the twin towers in an effort to terrorize us, our government, our beliefs, and out way of life. they did so because they believe that it is their role in life to eliminate anything that is not in tone with their way of life. in other words, they're religious extremists who would go to great lengths to please their(false) god.

Osama bin Laden felt betrayed because of the Soviet-Afghan War. Theory is that we had the Afghans fight against the Soviet Union in 1979, and felt betrayed because the US asked Israel to provide weaponry to the muslims to fight off communism in the Middle East. The Afghans, in my opinion, thought it was a war to get rid of two enemies by having them fight each other Israel to Afghanistan and US to Soviet Union.

Because they were built in 1973 and full of asbestos. It would have cost hundreds of millions of dollars to remove the asbestos. So they used the buildings as a poster boy scape goat. They blew them up. Save money on asbestos removal and got us into a war for profit.

Ther are 2 answers to this question.

1) The World Trade Center buildings were a physical sign of America power in the world. al-Qeada is very much into destroying icons of power - they want to return to a world that existed in the 1700's. Though they did not expect the twin towers to collapse - the idea was to inflict as much random death as possible - even though this is strictly agains Muslim law.

2) Al-Qeada wanted to destroy SIGNS of wealth and prosperity - and to them that was the World Trade Center in New York. And several Mulsim laws were broken with this attack. Bin Laden was what they called a "Cafeteria Muslims" - picking and choosing which Muslim laws to follow and which Muslim laws to ignore until they get what they wanted.

Bin laden thought that the untied state had too much freedom, so he sent troop to attack the twin tower. The troop were sucide bomber. They believe their god,Allah, would be happy if they destroy the tower. I hope this help.
