There is a justifiable reason.
There is a seal hunt to protect the commercial fish stocks and to control the seal population. If the seal population gets to high they'll eat all the fish. The fish stocks with be low which in turn in bad for the fisherman who need to eat. Also, Canada does not will baby seals it's been illegal since 1987. Canadians don't kill seals for something to do. They are not barbaric. And no lip stick is made from seals :S
