Even though girls seek the attention of boys, they tend to value the approval of other girls more than that of boys. After all, boys rarely find very thin girls attractive; but girls continue to try to lose weight!
Ideals of feminine beauty vary from place to place and from time to time. In Africa, a more rounded figure is deemed attractive. Centuries ago, a "full figure" was deemed attractive because it signified that you were rich enough to have plenty to eat.
Of course, both obesity and anorexia are dangerous body states; and all people, boys, girls, men & women should try to eat healthily and in moderation, and to do enough exercise to stay fit.

∙ 9y agoThey want to be skinny to be impressed by guys. Some fat isn't attractive and they try so hard not to have flab and not eat but yet you need to eat and exercise in a healthier way and not the worst way.
