Because they are spoiled, inconsiderate brats! In some cases they could be very spoiled (mainly by the mothers) and use to getting their own way. If he sulks, you've got the "plans to the man" right off the bat. On the other hand if he has a good sense of humor this is all it may be, but it's still twisted and in ways, cruel. Sort of like tickling someone until they are blue in the face and pleading for the person to stop tickling them, but that person won't.
