Why do men cheat and what do they benefit from it and do they regret it and what is a male's point of view?

I've never cheated on my wife, but I can tell you from a guy's point of view. Men cheat because they either 1) don't get any lovin from the girl at home, 2) allow themselves to be tempted by spending too much time with a woman who seems safe at the time, but later develops feelings and things evolve from there, 3) because we can 4) because we are unhappy or bored, the list could go on for reasons. Benefits? Other than getting physical and emotional satisfaction, not too many. Most guys do regret it because they know it has hurt their girlfriend/wife and possibly change their relationship forever. Some don't regret it because they want change and cheating is a quick way to get it. A guy who cheats once (one night stand, "it just happened", etc) and seems really and sincerely sorry for his crime should be forgiven. If he ever does it again, you should draw the line and kick him to the curb.
