Why do people ask questions here instead of searching on Google?

Google doesn't actually answer questions for you - instead, it is a search engine that FINDS the answers for you, and often those answers are on sites such as Answers.com. So rather than using a middleman such as Google, many users prefer to come straight to the source!
There are many other reasons to join the Answers community:
1. By creating an account and having a photo and name attached to your account, other users can learn more about who you are, and thus, answer your questions, and trust your answers.
2. You can join various programs we have on Answers, such as WikiReviewers, Community Outreach, Vandal Patrol, and many more!
3. You can receive email notifications when someone has answered your questions, or when someone has asked a question that YOU might know the answer to! We do the work for you!

What is Google often used for?
Google is often used for searching a variety of things, places, people, etc. An example, would be searching for a local store, etc. Google is great for people who are in search of any answer to difficult questions.
Why do people ask simple questions here instead of searching on Google?
This is a fabulous question, and although there is no "correct answer", here's one good reason. I could not find the answer to one of my questions with Google. But I stumbled upon this website and found that I was able to answer a couple of other people's questions (while waiting for mine to be answered). I found it rewarding to help other people with their questions, since I had someone very patient to teach me what I know.
Why don't all these people google their questions?
because not everyone has internet, they have dictionary instead.
